Benton Tri-City Genealogical Society The TCGS library is located at the Richland Family History Center, 1314 Goethals Ave, Richland, WA, directly behind the Mormon Church. Lists of their holdings are available on the website. Research services are available. Special collections include The Tri-City Herald Newspaper 1970-2001. Service area includes Kennewick, Richland, West Richland, Pasco, Othello, Prosser, Benton City, Paterson, Eltopia, Mesa, Connell, Kahlotus and the Oregon communities of Umatilla and Hermiston.

Clallam Clallam County Genealogical Society
The Research Center is open to the public, Tuesday - Friday, 10am - 4pm and the last Saturday of the month, 1pm - 4pm.  A catalog of all the holdings can be accessed from the website via LibraryThing.com.  Special collections include; Clallam County Collection (books and publications on local history), Pioneer files (3 generation genealogies of famiies present in Clallam Co before 1900), obituaries from the 1880's from numerous local newpaper publications, school census records 1918-1932, census of the Makah & Quileute (Native American) 1885-1899, cemetery records of all known cemeteries in Clallam Co, marriage returns 1891-1921, abstracts of wills and probates 1930-1965, Naval Lodge of Elks membership records from 1896, Puget Sound Co-op Colony records 1887-1904, high school yearbooks for Port Angeles, Sequim, Forks and Joyce, Clallam County directories and phone books. Service area:  Forks, Beaver, LaPush, Neah Bay, Seiku, Clallam Bay, Sappho, Joyce, Port Angeles, Carlsborg, Dungeness and Sequim.  It also includes four Indian Reservations: Makah, Quileute, Elwha and Jamestown.  
Clark Clark County Genealogical Society Clark County Gen. Soc. maintains a library and meeting space at 3205 NE 52nd St., Vancouver, WA. Their website has an online catalog of resources and searchable databases.  The library contains a collection of about 8,000 volumes with an emphasis on how-to materials and includes genealogical info from around the world.  Special collections include resources on Clark County and S.E. Washington; Clark County pioneers (up to 1900); inactive or deceased members of the Clark Co. chapter of the Daughters of WA Pioneers; and tax records of Clark Co. in 1886 and 1891.  Service area includes:  Battleground, Camas, Vancouver, Woodland and Yacolt.

LCGS maintains a Genealogy Room in the Longview Public Library, 1600 Louisiana St., Longview, WA. Service area includes Castle Rock, Cathlamet, Cougar, Grays River, Kalama, Kelso, Longview, Ryderwood and Silver Lake.
Douglas Douglas County Historical Society No local genealogical society in this area; however, the historical society collects genealogical materials on Douglas County which are housed at the Museum.   Service area  includes; Appledale, Brandt's Landing, Bridgeport, Dyer, Entiat, Fairview, Farmer, Leahy, Mansfield, McCarteney, Orondo, Palisades,  Rock Island, Sims Corner, Waterville and Withrow.  
Douglas Wenatchee Area Genealogical Society The WAGS operates a research library in Wenatchee. The library features local history and stories of pioneers and residents in North Central Washington. Additionally, they have obituaries, funeral records, cemetery information, local yearbooks, phone books and city directories for our region. Special collections include an online index to obituaries, databases, surnames and online catalog of resources on their website. They offer a number of special interest groups. The GSSWI website maintains indexes to special collections including: books published about Island County, Index of Death Certificates 1907-1952, Surname Index, Early census records and obituaries. Service area includes Greenbank, Freeland, Langley, Clinton (southern half of Whidbey Island).
Island See Sno-Isle Genealogical Society (Snohomish County)  
Island Whidbey Island Genealogical Searchers WIGS maintains a collection of genealogy resources held in a private home and available only by appointment. Local research services are available. Their website maintains an online listing of resources and searchable databases. Service area includes Coupeville, Oak Harbor, (northern half of Whidbey Island). 
Jefferson Jefferson County Genealogical Society
The society operates a Research Center at 13692 Airport Cutoff Road (Hwy. 19), Port Townsend, WA.  Use of the Research Center is free for members. There is a small fee for non-members. JCGS has an extensive online index to all the databases at the JCGS Research Center accessible from their website.  Research services are available. Service area includes Gardiner, Port Townsend, Port Ludlow, Port Hadlock, Chimacum, Quilcene, Brinnon, Kalalock, Queets and Clearwater.  
King Eastside Genealogical Society
The society provides genealogical resources for the Bellevue Regional Library.  A catalog of the resources is available on the King Co. Library website. They have a number of special interest groups, including Computer, Czech/Slovic, Family Tree Maker, German, Irish/Scots, Italian, Legacy Family Tree and The Master Genealogist. Service area (East of Greater Seattle) includes Bellevue, Woodinville, Bothell, Kirkland, Redmond, Newport Hills, Mercer Island, Renton, Issaquah, Carnation, Fall City, Duvall, Sammamish, Snoqualmie and North Bend.
King Fiske Foundation and Genealogy Library
​The library is located on Lake Washington on the south side of Madison Park, in the lower level of the Washington Pioneer Hall.  There is a fee for access to the Library. The library catalog can be access from their website.
King Jewish Genealogy Society of Washington State
The JGSWS library of Jewish resources is located in the LDS Factoria Building, 4200 124th Ave SE, Bellevue, WA 98006 (in Factoria, just off I-90 and I-405).  The catalog of their holdings can be accessed from their website. Special Projects: Indexing all of the Jewish cemeteries located in Washington State; indexing vital records (birth, bar/bat mitzvah, marriage, and death announcements that were printed in the Jewish Transcript and other Jewish newspapers during the past 80 years).
King Seattle Genealogical Society
SGS holds major seminar programs twice a year as well as a full schedule of monthly classes, meetings, workshops, and Special Interest Groups. Most of the educational programs are accessible remotely. The SGS Library, located at the Good Shepherd Center, 4649 Sunnyside Ave N, Suite 302, Seattle, Washington, contains 5,000 volumes and has online databases (Ancestry.com, Fold3, and American Ancestors) available for use onsite. It is also an affiliate library for the Family History Library in Salt Lake City and FamilySearch.org. Research requests can be made through the SGS website. Service area includes the greater Seattle area and beyond.
King South King County Genealogical Society SKCGS serves south King County and beyond, since all of our meetings are virtual; some hybrid soon. We host numerous special interest and user groups, an ongoing study group, and in-person genealogy help at Auburn Library where our collection is held, 1102 Auburn Way South, Auburn, WA. Our remaining collection is held at the Kent FamilySearch Center, 12817 SE 256th St, Kent WA. Special collections include memorial records of So. King Co., Black Diamond cemetery records, King Co. and Kent area marriages, King Co. and Kent area obituaries from early newspapers, obituaries from the Renton Record/Chronicle Newspaper 1927-1932, South King Co. obituaries 1991-2007.
King Swedish Finn Historical Society
The Swedish Finn Historical Society is associated with the Swedish Club. The society maintains a genealogical resource library and provides research services. Online databases are available on the website for members.  Special collections include DEE Database (Document Every Emigrant) with over 38,000 entries, digitalized "Leading Star" newspapers, Order of Runeberg Lodge records, 14,000 obituaries of Swedish Finn immigrants, Emmaus Lutheran Church records and a photo database with names.
Kitsap Bainbridge Island Genealogical Society
BIGS's genealogical resources are available at the Bainbridge Island Public Library. Service area:  Bainbridge Island and the North Kitsap Peninsula; Poulsbo, Indianola, Port Gamble, Hansville and Kingston.   
Kitsap Puget Sound Genealogical Society
PSGS maintains a Genealogy Center within the Sylvan Way Kitsap Regional Library.  A catalog of resources is available on the Kitsap Regional Library website. PSGS offers several special interest groups: Ancestry.com, DNA and Legacy Family Tree Software. Research services for Kitsap County are available. Special collections include: Germans from Russia Historical Society Census Books. Service area: Bremerton, East Bremerton, Silverdale, Belfair, Seabeck, Holly, Port Orchard and Gig Harbor. PSGS also includes two smaller chapters in Belfair and S. Kitsap.
Kittitas Kittitas County Genealogical Society KCGS maintains a library at 413 N. Main St, Ellensburg, WA. Research services are available. Special collections include a complete collection of materials on Kittitas County. Service area includes CleElum, Easton, Ellensburg, Hyak, Kittitas, Roslyn, Snoqualmie Pass, Suncadia, Thorp, Wymer and Vantage.

Klickitat Columbia Gorge Genealogical Society
Special collections include an online catalog of local resources. Although located in Oregon, this society serves the communities on the OR and WA sides of the Columbia River Gorge, including The Dalles, Hood River, Stevenson, Klickitat, White Salmon, Wishram and Maryhill.
Lewis Lewis County Genealogical Society LCGS provides research services. An index of Lewis County cemeteries and gravestones is available on the website. Service area includes Centralia, Chehalis, Morton, Mossyrock, Napavine, Onalaska, Packwood, PeEll, Randle, Toledo and Winlock.

Pierce Heritage Quest Research Library
Due to a October 28, 2022 fire, the library is currently closed. They are, however, conducting classes via Zoom. The library contains over 15,000 volumes and microfiche. They provide a bookstore which provides all genre of genealogical resources. The website includes an online catalog and other local resources.   
Pierce Tacoma - Pierce County Genealogical Society
Special collections include an online index to Pierce County records published in the “Researcher” from 1969-2013, which includes records from bibles, cemeteries, census, churches, courts, funeral homes, land, military, naturalizations, probate abstracts, schools, Taxes, vital records, voter registration, WA pioneers and other misc. records. The website provides indexes of cemeteries, schools and veterans graves in Pierce Co.  The society offers look up’s from their indexes, research services and copies of obituaries for a fee.  A list of published local genealogical resources is available for sale on the website. Service area includes Tacoma, Ruston, University Place, Lakewood, DuPont, Roy, Parkland, Spanaway, Elk Plain, Sumner, Prairie Ridge, Carbonado, Buckley, LaGrande, New Reliance, Elbe, Ashford, Ohop, Kapowsin, Graham, South Hill, Puyallup, Bonney Lake, Orting and Fairfax.  
San Juan San Juan County Genealogical Society Inactive. Service area included Lopez, Orcas, San Juan and Shaw Islands.
Skagit Skagit Valley Genealogy Society
SVGS offers local research services. Their genealogy collection is held in the Burlington Public Library.  Books and records are reference only (unavailable for checkout or general library circulation).  An online catalog of resources is available on the SVGS website. Special collections include Skagit County histories; local family histories; local cemetery and funeral home records; and early census, territorial and vital records. Service area includes Anacortes, Burlington, Conway, LaConnor, Mt. Vernon, Sedro Wooley, Shelter Bay, Concrete and Marblemount.​

The "CamWoodies"  are a group of genealogy enthusiasts from the Camano Island and Stanwood area, hence their name. They work with both the Stanwood Historical Society and the Sno-Isle Genealogical Society.  Records are archived in the Stanwood Historical Society and indexes of surnames and obituaries are published on the Sno-Isle Genealogical Society website.
Snohomish Sno-Isle Genealogical Society
The Sno-Isle Genealogical Society maintains a research library at 19827 Poplar Way, Lynnwood, WA 98036. 
Special collections include 1907 - 1981 newspapers from the Edmonds Tribune Review, 1986 - 2000 obituaries for Snohomish and Island Counties (approximately 74,000), holdings catalog of 2,900 volumes  is available on the website. Service area includes South Snohomish County and the cities of  Mukilteo, Everett, Lynnwood, Edmonds, Mill Creek, Mountlake Terrace, Snohomish, Monroe, Index and Lake Stevens.​​​​​
Snohomish Stillaguamish Valley Genealogical Society
"Stilly" maintains a library which is open to the public. Local genealogical publications are available at their online store on the website. Special collections include  Pennsylvania Archives Collection (72 books of Colonial and Early Americans), War of the Rebellion Series (159 books of Civil War, official records of the US and Confederate Armies and Navy), Arlington Times (newspaper on microfilm 1895-current), Arlington High School yearbooks, Everett/Snohomish Co. City Directories 1901-1990, Arlington Times obituaries 1895-1985, and the Everett Herald (Snohomish Co.) obituaries 1960-2006. Service area includes Northern Snohomish Co; Marysville, Robe, Silverton, Arlington, Oso, Darrington, Camano Island and Stanwood.
Spokane Eastern Washington Genealogical Society The genealogy collection of EWGS is housed on the 3rd floor of the Spokane Public Library, 906 W. Main St, Spokane, WA. Special collections online include surname indexes, cemetery records and obituaries. Check out the Tombstone Tales on the website. Service area includes Spokane and Lincoln Counties and the communities of Spokane, Deer Park, Rockford, Latah, Spangle, Plaza, Cheney, Airway Heights, Tyler, Sprague, Harrington, Mohler, Odessa, Davenport, Creston and Almira.
Stevens Northeast Washington Genealogical Society The NeWGS's genealogical collection is located at the Colville Public Library, 195 S. Oak St.  An online catalog of their holdings is available on the website. Special collections include burials in the Evergreen, Highland and Mountain View Cemeteries; published local area histories; and local newspapers. Service area includes Stevens, Ferry and Pend Oreille Counties and the communities of Addy, Chewelah, Colville, Curlew, Cusick, Fruitland, Gifford, Ione, Keller, Kettle Falls, Kewa, Laurier, Marble, Metalline Falls, Newport, Northport, Republic, Rice, Ruby, Wellpinit and the Colville Indian Reservation.
Thurston Olympia Genealogical Society
OGS provides a monthly newsletter with feature stories about local resources, tips and tricks for genealogy research, book reviews, member family stories and more. OGS also has special interest groups available to members that meet monthly covering topics including genealogy software, DNA, family history writing and more. The website also has a surname database and list of local repository of records. Monthly membership meetings feature an expert in genealogy. Service area includes Grand Mound, Lacey, Littlerock, Olympia, Rochester, Tenino, Tumwater and Yelm.

The WCGS operates a research library. The website contains an online list of the library holdings. Research services are available. Special collections include 1895 & 1910 plat map books with indexes, Whitman County families volumes 1-3, birth records 1875-1907, death registers 1891-1907, marriages 1872-1897 and probates 1869-1902. Service area includes Pullman, Colfax, Palouse, Revere, Colton, Endicott, Garfield, LaCrosse, Malden, Oakesdale, St. John and Steptoe.
Yakima Yakima Valley Genealogical Society The YVGS library is open to the public. It is an affiliate Family History Library with the main LDS FHL in Salt Lake City. The library has an extensive holding of over 20,000 bound volumes, covering local, state, national and international genealogy, digitalized collections of published volumes, microfilm and fiche. Special collections include over 150,000 obituaries, funeral home records, cemetery records, land records, school census and more.  Most are indexed online and searchable on their website. The society offers several special interest groups. Service area includes Naches, Tieton, Cowiche, Selah, Yakima, Union Gap, Wapato, Toppenish, Granger, Sunnyside, Grandview, Zillah, Bickleton, Goldendale, Gleed, Ahtanum, Tampico, Mabton and White Swan.  It also includes the Yakama Indian Reservation.
